A Peek at the Week
This week we talked about animals and the sounds that different animals make. We practiced moving like the different animals; this was a great way to get the kids moving while learning about animals.
Centers: various animal puzzles, paper fun animal project, coloring animal pictures, listening to Penguin Pat and Pete, shelf toys, and the flannel board with various animals to sort and count.
Books: Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle. We worked on learning the hand signs as we listened to the song that went along with the story. Vocabulary words: monkey, elephant, tiger, snake, mouse, bird, horse, bear, giraffe, cat, dog and lion were some of our vocab words this week.
Physical Therapy Group
This week the students played with balls, moving them around their bodies while sitting on the floor, around their knees and feet while standing, and various other directions given by Renee. Everyone worked really hard at this and did GREAT!
